Description
During the tour, we made a journey by the South-west part of Cebaco Island. The most common to observe are the humpback whales (Megaptera novaeangliae), also known as Yubarta.
Known for their long migrations, look closely at these gigantic animals weighing several tons, with gentle and harmonious movements; it is one of those experiences that you will remember for a lifetime.
The possibilities to observe cetaceans is quite high but not guaranteed every day because we are not sure of the exact location where they are and other factors that cannot be controlled, however, is not common. Almost always you can see humpback whales in the tours when in season.
Whale watching in their natural habitat requires certain rules so that whales do not feel intimidated by boats, as well as for the safety of the passengers on board. Some of these rules are for example not to follow the whales for more than 15 minutes and not be at a very short distance from the animal, among other measures.
